Our 11-day expedition aboard the National Geographic Explorer we traveled to a land where we discovered a rich and exciting wilderness. We had the opportunity to explore the deep fjords of Svalbard and observe the beauty of the frozen landscape, along with the wildlife that habitats this ice covered oasis. Our journey to the Land of the Ice Bears gave us the chance to see nature in its purest form.

Never before have we experienced a land in which the sun never sets and where massive sheets of ice cover both the land and sea. To help you learn more about the our adventure in the Arctic., we’ve created this interactive map which details the different locations we visited during our journey. Learn about what we found in each new location and what wildlife we encountered while we were there.
